Cost Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Project Costing & Analysis
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models for infrastructure projects
- Track actual costs vs. budgeted costs and analyze variances
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate cost inputs
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual and quarterly budgeting cycles for infrastructure initiatives
- Prepare rolling forecasts and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions
- Monitor capital expenditures and ensure alignment with financial targets
- Variance Analysis & Reporting
- Perform monthly variance analysis and present insights to leadership
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Enhance cost accounting processes and systems for scalability and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and telecom industry standards
- Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, ideally within telecom or infrastructure-heavy industries
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel
- Solid understanding of capital project accounting, fixed asset management, and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
401K Match and yearly bonuses to salary.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Ellettsville, IN.
