Experienced Low Voltage Technician / Project Coordinator Position Summary This Experienced Low Voltage Technician / Project Coordinator role primarily troubleshoots and repairs security systems while planning, reviewing and implementing capital projects end to end, including take-offs, wire plan design, submittals, permitting (pull and sign off), installation oversight, commissioning and closeout. Blends handson technical mastery (access control, video, alarms, intercoms) with field leadership, client communication, and vendor/materials coordination to ensure safe, codecompliant, ontime, and onbudget outcomes. Experienced Low Voltage Technician / Project Coordinator Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and Service (Primary) Security Systems Service and Project Supervisor will Diagnose, repair, and optimize security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms, intercoms), including hardware, firmware, software, and network-related issues. Serve as the goto resource for complex escalations, mentor junior technicians on diagnostic methods and best practices. Verify work meets manufacturer specifications, electrical/lowvoltage codes, and company QA standards, document root cause and corrective actions. Close out service calls with clear notes, parts used, next steps, and customer communication.

Capitol Projects Plan, review, and implement capital projects from concept through acceptance. Perform quantity takeoffs (devices, cable, conduit, power) and validate scope against drawings/specs. Design wire plans/risers, pointtopoint diagrams, device schedules, and panel layouts as needed. Prepare submittal packages (cut sheets, drawings, calculations, code notes) and manage approvals. Pull required permits (e.g., lowvoltage/electrical); coordinate inspections and ensure permit signoffs. Lead implementation: sequencing/phasing, coordination with GC and trades, and material logistics. Oversee commissioning, functional testing, and owner training; produce asbuilts and O&M manuals. Complete closeout documentation (warranties, punchlist resolution) and handoff to service/support.

Field Supervision and Site Quality Conduct site walks/inspections to verify quality, safety, scope compliance, and readiness. Supervise technicians and subcontractors; assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide handson support as needed. Act as the onsite customer point of contact; manage expectations and address issues promptly. Enforce company and OSHA safety protocols; identify hazards and implement mitigations.

Customer and Vendor Coordination Be the go-to person for customers and vendors during projects. Make sure parts and equipment are ordered and arrive on time. Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.

Safety & Compliance Maintain and enforce OSHA and company safety standards, lead job hazard assessments. Ensure installations and repairs meet electrical codes and local regulations; uphold company policies.

Experienced Low Voltage Technician / Project Coordinator Required Qualifications: Limited Energy System Specialty Electrician (06) License OSHA 30 certification 5+ years’ experience in electronic security systems with a proven track record of advanced troubleshooting and repair. Experience supervising field teams and coordinating multiphase projects. Proficiency with smartphones/tablets and site/project software; ability to read drawings and onelines. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/in varied environments.

Security Systems Service and Project Supervisor Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer certifications (access control, VMS/CCTV, alarm panels) and/or industry credentials (e.g., ALOA, PSP). Familiarity with project management tools.
