Warehouse Worker
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We seek individuals with experience in forklift operation, RF scanning, and manual packing of coffee products. Please note that extended vacations are not permissible for this position within the current year.
Responsibilities
- Pick and package orders for online, subscription, wholesale, and retail coffee sales.
- Weigh and package coffee products accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas daily, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Use WMS Scanners to receive, put away, and move inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Receive equipment and supplies into the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, manual, and electric pallet jacks.
- Perform inventory and cycle counts as required.
- Report maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to Safety/OSHA and Food Safety (FSMA) processes, procedures, and regulations.
- Engage in continuous improvement and 5S projects as directed.
- Contribute to a positive work atmosphere through professional communication with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
Essential Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in a medium to large warehouse and/or packaging environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Experience working in a team environment with professional communication skills.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work various shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- RF scanner proficiency.
- Experience in inventory management and direct-to-consumer (DTC) operations.
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment.

- Forklift and pallet jack operation experience.
- Shipping, receiving, labeling, and material handling skills.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.

Work Environment
Our warehouse operates within a roasting and manufacturing facility. Employees should expect to stand and move for long periods (6-8 hours), use fingers and hands, reach, bend, and move about on foot over long distances. Manual or electric pallet jacks are used to move pallets weighing up to 1500 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
