Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida, on a long-term contract basis. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to support decision-making and organizational goals.
  • Conduct variance analyses to identify trends and recommend actionable strategies to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with broader organizational objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills and tools such as Power BI to develop financial models and streamline reporting processes.
  • Manage bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support ad hoc reporting needs and provide insights for special projects.
  • Leverage expertise in SAP or similar accounting software to optimize and maintain financial data.
  • Assist with SOX compliance and other audits as required, ensuring all documentation is thorough and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of senior-level accounting experience, with a proven track record of excellence.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other accounting software, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and complex formulas.
  • Solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for data visualization and reporting.
