Overview
Business Analyst IV (Remote) – Primary Location: Remote. V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for this role for our premier client.
Responsibilities
- Capable of creating and executing SQL scripts for ETL/data testing.
- Conduct research and development based on current trends and technologies related to the banking industry, data engineering and architecture, data security, and related topics.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for data platforms.
- Plan and work on internal projects as needed, including legacy system replacement, monitoring and analytics improvements, tool development, and technical documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring for other team members.
- Manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business/technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills – able to communicate ideas verbally and in writing to management, business and IT sponsors, and technical resources in language appropriate for each group.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills when resolving data-related issues or designing new solutions.
- Experience with SDLC and project management support.
Must Have
- 5+ years’ experience with AFS in an operational, business analyst, or tech support capacity.
- Cobol and SQL expertise is a plus.
- Experience with conversion validation and reconciliation processes including data and financial validations.
- Experience with ACBS to AFS conversions including mapping and ETL processes.
- Experience with AFS L3 to AFS Vision data mapping.
- Experience with ETL for converting data from AFS L3 to Vision.
- Knowledge of AFS data hierarchies including currents, futures, takedowns, obligations, and process types.
- Experience mapping data between legacy systems and AFS Vision.
- Strong understanding of the AFS data model including currents, futures, obligations, and process types.
- Experience validating conversions including data and financial validations.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Understanding release management protocols and managing key tasks for implementation.
- Ability to work independently, engage with line of business, and elicit requirements.
- Critical thinking to break down requirements for functional design.
- Ability to collaborate with more technical team members and translate requirements for the technical design.
- Ability to create clear and complete Test Acceptance criteria and execute testing during Unit and UAT.
Nice To Have Skills/Experience
- Financial Crimes/Financial Industry knowledge.
- SQL.
