Agility Partners is seeking a qualified AFS Business Analyst to fill an open position with one of our clients in the banking industry. This is an exciting opportunity to support data modernization and reporting initiatives by leveraging deep expertise in AFS systems and financial data. You’ll play a key role in translating business requirements into actionable technical designs and ensuring accurate delivery of regulatory and compliance reporting. As an AFS Business Analyst, you will support end-of-day reporting and modernization efforts by gathering requirements, collaborating with technical teams, and validating data outputs. You’ll provide subject matter expertise on AFS data models and contribute to the development of scalable, compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support AFS L3 to Vision and data modernization initiatives by providing expertise on AFS data models.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into functional designs.
- Create and execute SQL scripts for ETL/data testing and validation.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for data platforms and reporting processes.
- Experience mapping data between legacy systems and AFS Vision.
- Strong understanding of the AFS data model including currents, futures, obligations, and process types.
- Familiarity with AFS Vision conversion extract, transform, and load processes.
- Experienced in validating conversions including data and financial validations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with AFS in an operational, business analyst, or tech support capacity.
- Strong understanding of AFS data hierarchies and ETL processes.
- Experience with financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and run meetings independently.
