As a Parts Shipping/Receiving associate at our dealership, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of parts and accessories to and from our dealership. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, inspecting and storing parts, as well as fulfilling orders and shipping items to customers and other dealerships. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our parts department and the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments of parts and accessories, verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage or discrepancies. Compare received items to packing lists or purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the parts manager or appropriate personnel. Organize and store received parts in designated locations within the parts department.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records using dealership software or inventory management systems. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. Assist with inventory audits and other inventory-related tasks as required.
Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders for parts and accessories, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. Pick parts from inventory shelves or storage locations and package them for shipment or customer pickup. Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements. Coordinate with shipping carriers or delivery services to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Customer Service: Assist customers with parts inquiries, providing information about availability, pricing, and compatibility. Handle customer returns and exchanges, following established return policies and procedures. Resolve customer complaints or issues related to parts orders promptly and professionally.
General Maintenance: Keep the parts department clean, organized, and free of clutter. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage areas and inventory shelves. Perform light maintenance tasks on equipment and tools as needed.
