Posted Monday, January 6, 2025 at 7:00 AM | Expires Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 5:59 AM The Grant Group Leader is responsible for leading and supervising a group of children in the YMCAs grant-funded programs. This position focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the academic, physical, and social development of participants. The Group Leader ensures that program activities align with grant requirements and YMCA standards. Grant programs are offered at sites throughout the area of Downtown, Eastside, and Southeast of Fort Worth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver a variety of activities that meet grant objectives and YMCA standards. Facilitate academic support, including homework help and educational enrichment. Organize and lead recreational activities, arts and crafts, and other program components. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants. Ensure proper supervision ratios are maintained at all times. Address behavioral issues promptly and in accordance with YMCA policies. Maintain accurate attendance records and other documentation required by the grant. Assist in the preparation of reports on program activities and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and YMCA policies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their childs progress and program updates. Foster positive relationships with school personnel and community partners. Participate in family engagement activities and events as required. Attend required trainings and staff meetings. Stay informed about best practices in youth development and incorporate new ideas into the program. Seek out opportunities for personal and professional growth. Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with children in a group setting, preferably in a recreational or educational environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Creativity and enthusiasm in developing and leading activities. Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain within 30 days upon hire). Background check clearance. MISSION:
