Locums - OB HospitalistLocation: Springfield, OhioSchedule: Every Other Weekend (Fri 7 AM - Mon 7 AM)License: OH license required (willing to wait for license) Assignment Overview
  • Start Date: TBD
  • Duration: Ongoing (every other weekend)
  • Schedule:
  • 72-hour call shifts: Friday 7 AM - Monday 7 AM
  • Call Ratio: 1:4 currently
  • Two weekends per month
  • Setting: Hospital-based, 90% Labor & Delivery focus Facility Details
    • Hospital Beds: 205
    • L&D/Postpartum/Triage Beds: 34
    • Level II Nursery
    • EMR: Epic
    • Onsite Lab & Ultrasound: Yes
    • Support Staff:
    • L&D nurses
    • Midwives
    • 1 APP per 12-hour shift
  • Current OBs in Practice: 4
  • No other OBs covering during locums shift Clinical Details
    • Patient Volume: Varies
    • Average GYN Surgeries Per Day: 5
    • C-Section Rate: 1 per shift
    • Average Nursery Admissions Per Day: 4
    • Patient Mix:
    • 60% Low Risk OB
    • 40% High Risk OB
    • 60% GYN
    Required OB Procedures
    • Routine & Complicated Deliveries:
    • Vaginal, Low Forceps, C-Section, Breech, VBAC, Multiple Births
  • High-Risk OB Management
  • OB Ultrasound (Level I/Screening) - Performance & Interpretation
  • Fetal Heart Rate Interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations Required GYN Procedures
    • Minor: Tubal Ligation, LOA, Chromopertubation
    • Major: Ectopic Pregnancy, Oophorectomy, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA
    • Surgical Gynecology - Open & Laparoscopic
    Requirements
    • Board Certified in OB/GYN - Required
    • Active OH Medical License - Required (or willing to obtain)
    • BLS & ACLS (AHA) - Required
    • Active DEA - Required
