- Weekday Availability: Required (Mon-Fri minimum)
- Weekend Coverage: Optional but encouraged
- No Overtime Permitted
- Call Schedule: Provided 1-2 months in advance
- Call Ratio: 1:5
- Restrictions:
- No consecutive weekday 24-hour shifts
- Weekend 24-hour combinations allowed (Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, or Sun/Mon)
- Trauma Level: Level III
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: L&D, postpartum, OR, ER nurses, 1-2 CNMs
- Other OB/GYNs on Site During Coverage: Typically no
- Residents: Usually on-call with locums
- Average Monthly Deliveries: 65-80
- Nursery Admissions/Day: 2-5
- Practice Risk Mix:
- Low Risk: 40%
- High Risk: 60%
- Triage and deliver Genesis OB patients
- ER coverage for OB/GYN cases
- Rounding on Genesis inpatients
- Manage "No Doc" patients ( 1/day)
- Circumcisions (optional)
- High/low risk pregnancy management
- FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
- OB ultrasounds (Level I)
- Amniocentesis
- Vaginal, low forceps deliveries
- C-section (routine and complicated)
- VBACs
- Breech/multiple births
- Repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Open surgical GYN
- Laparoscopic minor (tubal ligation, LOA, etc.)
- Operative/major (ectopic, cystectomy, ovary removal, etc.)
- Board Certified OB/GYN - Required
- Active IA License or IMLC - Required
- LOQ must be submitted at time of name clear
- Fetal Monitoring Certification - Required
- Weekday Availability - Required
- Two References - Required
- At least one must be from a supervisor
