The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a company tractor-trailer to transport materials and finished products between our facility and a gamma irradiation sterilization site. This role supports our manufacturing and assembly operations for pharmaceutical and biotech clients by ensuring timely, secure, and compliant delivery and pickup of goods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer to deliver and pick up products at the gamma irradiation sterilization facility and other designated locations
• Ensure all cargo is properly secured and complies with safety and regulatory requirements
• Collect and process necessary paperwork from delivery and pickup sites
• Communicate effectively with facility staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and hours of service
• Adhere to all DOT, company, and industry safety standards
• Maintain tractors and trailers including inspections, upkeep, tires, and overall cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of related driving experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Skills & Experience

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience operating tractor-trailers and knowledge of DOT regulations
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
• Basic computer/data entry skills for recordkeeping
• Ability to drive long distances (up to 2–3 hours from company site)
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain is a plus
• Ability to drive 10 to 14 hours from home site
• Must be able to work weekends

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
• Regular sitting or standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motions (e.g., operating vehicle controls)
