Data Analyst role at CACI International Inc.

CA CI is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to assist in developing data analysis products while streamlining processes in support of NAVSEA 04X Ship Maintenance Performance Group NAVSEA 04X3 Division, focusing on Corporate Metrics and Data Analytics, Business Process Reengineering, Operations and Facilities and Equipment Maintenance project teams. You will be working across multiple functional teams where complex problem-solving and communication skills are critical to success. This role is onsite in Portsmouth, VA at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Note: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to DoD security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, cleanse, curate and standardize data to support sustainable and scalable data interaction, analysis and insight development.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets and support end-users by enhancing information through developing visualizations via dashboards, metrics and user interfaces.
  • Build analytic capabilities and modify existing tools/programs to grow the organization’s knowledge and accommodate change.
  • Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements.
  • Perform data mapping, data lineage activities, document information flows and process diagrams.
  • Build data models and a business glossary by gathering information from multiple sources such as business users, existing data sources, databases and other relevant documents and systems.
  • Serve as data and metric processing subject matter expert, demonstrating understanding of key data management principles and data use.
  • Work in software development processes, software requirements, software maintenance and analyzing information.
  • Perform business and/or technical analyses to understand current customer environments, define customer needs, determine potential strategies, and deliver plans/proposals for process improvement opportunities and/or projects.
  • Interface directly with the client, capture requirements and translate into technical requirements for inclusion into products and/or services.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational activities and benchmarking best practices.
  • Conduct detailed analysis using established statistical methods and develop predictive models.

Qualifications

  • Minimum active Secret-level clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or Data Science.
  • 5 years in Naval Maintenance, including design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases.
  • Expertise in JCL, access methods, device allocation, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • 5 years of continuing education in Metrics and Data Analytics.
  • 5 years as senior-level DBA technical expert: analyzing and maintaining database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures, integrating systems through database design.
  • Proficiency in data compilation, analysis, and metrics; statistical and mathematical techniques; project management; evaluating business requirements and delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle Databases; query generation, modification, and extraction.
  • Dashboard and visualization skills using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Python, Excel advanced charts, or related software.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, Power BI, VBA, Excel Macros, SQL, R, or similar languages.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures; formulate problems and apply analytical problem-solving skills; communicate clearly and concisely.

Pay and benefits: Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The proposed salary range for this position is $75,200-$158,100.
