- Monitor daily cash activity, reconcile bank accounts, and review outgoing payments to ensure financial accuracy and liquidity
- Compile monthly financial summaries, analyze performance trends, and develop forward-looking cash flow models to guide decision-making
- Coordinate year-end documentation for tax filings, prepare reports for executive leadership, and manage allocations for retirement plans and performance-based incentives
- Handle the preparation and submission of required federal, state, and local tax documents, including 1099 forms
- Serve as a secondary resource for receivables and payables, ensuring continuity and coverage across the finance team
- Maintain schedules for fixed assets and depreciation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
- Partner with HR to execute payroll cycles, validate payroll data, and post journal entries for departmental expense distribution
- 5+ years in a professional accounting role with a good grasp of GAAP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Architecture, engineering, or construction is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Ajera software is a strong advantage
- Exposure to prevailing wage reporting and ESOP structures is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively
