LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Inventory Accountant for one of our customers located in Emeryville, California. This position is hybrid and will be in-office 3 days a week! The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as an inventory or staff accountant. The positions primary focus is to ensure the accuracy of the company's inventory and assist with other duties and projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reconciling retail store inventories across the company stores
• Perform month-end closing activities
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and reports related to retail inventories
• Accounts Analysis on the general ledger detail
• Process inventory transfer transactions
• Prepare detailed reports and Excel spreadsheets
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is required
• Experience in private industry and public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of current US GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel - Advanced)
• Software experience with SAP would be a plus
• Strong understanding of inventory
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent communications able to interact professionally with vendors, internal management and team members
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Experience: 5 years of accounting experience (Inventory Accountant, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant)
