We are looking for a talented IT Support Specialist to support the technology that our corporate team relies on. As the IT Support Specialist, you will act as the first point of contact for members of our team who are experiencing technical problems by answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming requests for IT assistance. Strong communication skills and creative thinking are a necessity in our fast paced and multi-faceted business.

What you will be doing

  • Diagnosing issues and communicating impact, resolution, and timetables to relevant team members.
  • Support onsite and remote team members with any technology related needs while providing continuous status information to ensure our team is well informed.
  • Engage third party companies where necessary.
  • Purchase, configure, and deploy end user hardware and client software for new builds and upgrades.
  • Support and maintain all end user hardware and client software for new builds and upgrades.
  • Support and update Microsoft desktop OS and all productivity applications.
  • Support and deploy company phones as well as providing phone system moves, adds, and changes.
  • Support and maintain data backup processes.
  • Support cyber security initiatives.
  • Antivirus solution maintenance and monitoring.
  • Hosted Exchange moves, adds, changes and password resets.
  • Maintaining end user hardware and software license inventory.
  • Mobile device support.
  • Documenting and updating processes as necessary.
  • Implement firmware security patching.
  • Participate in annual budget processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Computer Science degree desired.
  • Ability to work in the Warwick, RI office, not a Remote role.
  • Prior Help Desk experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with end-users in identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • A passion for technology with exceptional end-user support.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple issues and technologies, while maintaining an appropriate level of professionalism and composure.
  • Proactive and resourceful resolution to issues.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
  • Unique ability to work with both business and technical-minded team members to plan and execute against project timelines and deliverables.
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and procedures, all relevant Windows workstation operating systems, and Windows Office products.
