ITD is seeking skilled IT Applications Specialists to improve end-user efficiency by providing expert support for applications and reporting tools, help staff use technology effectively, and support ongoing improvements in business processes and IT systems.

Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Works closely with IT and development teams to understand user requirements, validate enhancements to application functionality, and implement software updates.
- User Training: Develops and delivers training for end-users on new and existing applications, and creates user guides and documentation.
- Technical Support: Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for application-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of problems.
- Problem Solving: Analyzes user needs and provides solutions to improve business processes through effective application use.

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Shift: Some positions may require availability for night and swing shifts, weekends, on-call duties, and holidays as needed.

Required Experience: Two (2) years full-time equivalent experience supporting business applications, including troubleshooting, instructing end-users, and resolving problems. Proficiency in advanced features of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
Education Substitution: Thirty (30) semester/forty-five (45) quarter units in information technology, business administration, or related field may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience. List coursework on the application; applications will be disqualified if coursework or certificates are not listed.

Ideal candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
- Experience with project management platforms such as KeyedIn.
- Experience creating reports, managing tickets, and providing training.
