in South Jordan, UT. The position focuses on managing and growing the environmental team, collaborating with environmental leads across the Mountain Pacific Region and the U.S., and delivering environmental projects for a variety of sectors. Responsibilities

Manage staff and project teams for environmental projects, including oversight of subcontractors and sampling of soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water and groundwater in accordance with state and Federal regulations and generally accepted protocols. Lead environmental projects involving site characterization, remedial design, and environmental compliance; ensure deliverables, schedules and budgets are met. Develop and maintain communication channels with key clients, stakeholders, and internal personnel to ensure smooth workflow and provide first class consultancy services. Engage in business development to identify and develop new clients for the environmental practice, including networking inside and outside of WSP. Provide technical reviews to ensure compliance with environmental laws, company standards, contract requirements and related specifications. Travel to project sites primarily in Utah and occasionally across the Mountain States of the West; minimal overnight travel. Mentor and train junior staff; collaborate in technical discussions with team members. Manage proposal preparation including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing; prepare and present client presentations. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct; adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related fields Professional license such as PG or PE in Utah desired 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility Strong background providing environmental consulting services to Government, Industrial/Commercial, Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy and Transportation sectors Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State and Local environmental regulations and field investigations related to environmental site assessments and remediation Project management experience including deliverables, schedules and budgets; self-starter, team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication Business development experience and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships; experience in proposal preparation Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to travel to project sites primarily in Utah with minimal overnight travel Must pass background check and have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record per company policy About WSP
