Our work depends on an OT Asset Visibility and Security Engineer and Database Developer joining our team to analyze design, develop, implement, and support code for our government customer, the United States Postal Service.
How an Operational Technology (OT) Asset Visibility and Security Engineer and Database Developer Will Make an Impact In this role, a typical day will include:
Implementing USPS cybersecurity strategies, protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the OT environment supporting critical USPS mail and package handling systems.
Continuing development and curation of a proprietary database system managing asset details of proprietary systems leveraged by automation for identifying assets observed within the environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, preferred but not required.
Note: If resources do not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
Required Experience:
8+ years of OT security experience in a large enterprise IT environment and application of asset visibility solutions toward OT hardware and software asset management security efforts supporting OT operations and security.
Strong network access control, USB attached device control, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support.
Accredited and relevant college degree (computer science, information systems, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Documented enterprise-based experience as a Forescout CounterAct administrator, and Forescout Engineering certification.
Documented experience implementing and maintaining proprietary database instances and leveraging them for automation purposes.
Specific knowledge and experience with Forescout, Armis Centrix, Splunk (knowledge objects), Windows and Linux system administration, and database design and implementation.
Relevant technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH) are beneficial, plus strong communication, ability to interpret flowcharts, plan schedules, and collaborate with stakeholders.
Security Clearance Level:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and pass Government background screening with forms and fingerprinting.
This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years, with specific conditions for U.S. Citizens and non-U.S. Citizens.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.
