$130,400.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr What you’ll do
We are tendering for the construction supervision of Zero-Emission Bus Infrastructure works in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, including bus electrification infrastructure, hydrogen fuel cell electric bus infrastructure, as well as industrial and commercial new buildings & renovations. As a Resident Engineer (Transportation), you will: Interface with stakeholders and contractors; provide oversight of the construction process to ensure safety and adherence to contract and permit requirements. Produce client deliverables for change management; triage multidisciplinary RFIs and submittals for projects in construction phases; execute construction contracts and follow established workflows and controls. Identify potential issues, delays, and risks using critical path analysis; develop and execute comprehensive solutions. Lead a team in monitoring project progress and advising steps to achieve project goals; may direct a team of support staff and site inspectors. Report on progress, safety, financial projections, quality control, and changes in the contract work. Maintain a strong emphasis on safe construction practices and high construction quality; lead by example on site. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management. 15+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager, Engineer, or Construction Manager in an engineering, architectural, environmental or construction organization. 7+ years of experience in Construction Management, Resident Engineer, or similar role on rail, transportation, or public works. 3+ years of experience in zero-emission transit projects including vertical construction, switchgear, cross-platform systems integration, land development, power generation, energy management, clean energy, and related projects. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, plans and specifications; familiarity with safety requirements. In-office presence at least 3 days per week (full-time preferred). Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship management. Valid driver’s license with a good driving history. Preferred / Idealy you’ll also have
Experience with electrification projects. Experience with industrial building retrofits. Experience with SWPPP requirements & NPDES General Permits. Professional Engineer (PE) license. SamTrans or Caltrain experience. Benefits and compensation
