The Base pay range is $110,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Overview The

Manager of Manufacturing Engineering

will lead engineering efforts that directly impact production performance, driving improvements in throughput, quality, and efficiency across moving assembly lines. This role is central to scaling highly customized, complex products that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Success in this position requires balancing day-to-day production support with long-term process development in a lean manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

Lead Engineering for Production:

Own the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that directly support line performance, including tooling, line layout, and process optimization.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

Apply lean principles to reduce waste, shorten cycle times, and increase first-pass yield across production operations.

Support a Lean Environment:

Champion standardized work, error-proofing, and root-cause problem solving to strengthen efficiency and reliability.

Develop and Lead Teams:

Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing engineering team that thrives in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.

Collaborate Across Functions:

Partner closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure engineering solutions align with broader operational goals.

Advance Capabilities:

Identify opportunities for new equipment, automation, and training to strengthen production scalability and competitiveness.

What You Bring

Proven leadership in a high-mix or automotive-style production environment, with the ability to align engineering with line performance needs.

Hands-on problem-solving skills in assembly line settings, including layout optimization, tooling design, and ergonomics.

Experience applying lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, value stream mapping).

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information in practical terms.

Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail, timelines, and measurable results.

Qualifications

At least 3 years in an engineering leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.

Prior experience supporting moving assembly/production lines or automotive-style manufacturing strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
