Overview
MCO Technologies is seeking an experienced
Enterprise Architect III
to support NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The successful candidate will provide senior-level enterprise architecture expertise, guiding system strategy, infrastructure design, and technology alignment to mission objectives. This role will focus on NASA’s transition from Cisco Telephony to the Microsoft Teams Phone platform, ensuring compliance with Enhanced 911 (E911) requirements while advancing NASA’s communication and collaboration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
high-level architectural expertise
to government managers and technical staff.
Develop enterprise-level
architectural products and deliverables
for operational business lines.
Design strategy and supporting infrastructure to meet NASA’s evolving mission and business needs.
Advise on the selection and integration of
technology platforms
for processing, data storage, access, and application development.
Establish
database standards
across SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and other client/server environments.
Assess feasibility and provide recommendations on
future IT projects and initiatives .
Lead the
transition from Cisco Telephony to Microsoft Teams Phone , ensuring seamless migration and user adoption.
Implement measures to ensure
E911 compliance , including integration with service providers and accurate user location data validation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of
8 years of enterprise architecture experience , including large-scale system integration and IT modernization projects.
US citizenship is required in order to obtain Public Trust Clearane
Demonstrated expertise in
enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices .
Strong knowledge of
Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco Telephony, and Jabber
platforms.
Hands-on experience with
relational database design and management
(SQL, Oracle, Sybase).
Proven ability to advise senior leadership and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience supporting
NASA or other federal agencies .
Familiarity with
federal IT security compliance requirements
(e.g., FISMA, NIST standards).
