Overview
Senior Sales Manager role responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, account management, and strategic business development in a luxury resort environment. Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, account management, and strategic business development. The ideal candidate is a career sales professional and a top producer within a dynamic luxury resort or complex hotel environment who has demonstrated a commitment and expertise in direct sales through performance. Responsibilities include proactively identifying, qualifying, and soliciting new business opportunities to achieve hotel revenue goals through selling guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage, as well as other related services to groups. Additional duties include preparing and presenting effective proposals, innate presentation skills for conducting exemplary site inspections, time management and ability to juggle many priorities while meeting deadlines, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, and possessing keen negotiation skills. The Senior Sales Manager will work as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff. This role may take on leadership functions and assist Director of Sales & Marketing with projects. Travel is necessary 4-6 times per year for various customer related events, conferences/trade shows and training as necessary. The Senior Sales Manager will also participate in and may lead sales and other related staff meetings. Salary: $91,200 to $120,000 per year. This is the pay range Park Hyatt Aviara reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Benefits

Preferred experience as a Senior Sales Manager or Director of National Accounts A successful track record in a dynamic and fast paced hotel environment while consistently exceeding production goals/quotas Luxury Resort Sales or complex hotel experience a plus Must live within the San Diego or Southern California region Needs to be proficient in general computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Outlook products Must have selling, negotiating, presentation skills while being well organized and time management abilities while meeting deadlines.
