C&I Engineering and Design: Undertake C&I engineering and design activities required by the project, including system and/or equipment calculations, Instrumentation datasheets, engineering requisitions, C&I equipment lists, technical bid evaluations, C&I design criteria, input into the Basis of Design document, SEAL plan input, relevant design drawings and other C&I engineering related deliverables. Utilise approved software and other analysis tools (e.g., validated spreadsheets for IS loop designs) for the design of C&I systems and equipment. Coordinate with Principal C&I Engineer and/or Manager C&I Engineering to establish technical direction where codes and standards do not provide it. Understand and implement national and industry codes and standards, as well as Customer specifications, and ensure compliance when appointed in a Lead role. Supervise and guide teams of C&I engineers on projects if appointed as Lead C&I Engineer, including review and checking of deliverables per Worley Technical Stewardship Standard. Project Execution: Act as Lead C&I Engineer on projects requiring supervision of a team of C&I engineers to deliver C&I engineering deliverables against a schedule and within budget. Lead C&I Engineering activities on Miscellaneous, Small and Large projects and provide technical leadership during all project phases (conceptual engineering, FEL2 pre-feasibility, FEL3 basic engineering, and detailed engineering design). Schedule, control and expedite work assigned to the C&I Engineering team; prepare, coordinate, assist, review and/or approve C&I engineering deliverables as defined by the project DTDP. Review and comment on vendor documents for compliance with purchase order/contract requirements and integration of equipment into the broader plant. Support the National Discipline Manager C&I Engineering and/or Specialist Principal C&I Engineers to establish scope of work and man-hour estimates for projects/proposals. Identify and recommend new technology developments to provide more cost-effective facilities or solutions. Ensure organisational procedures, methods and controls are followed on projects. Technical Stewardship And SEAL Compliance
Understand and implement the Worley Technical Stewardship Standard and include all specified engineering codes, standards, procedures, quality plans in accordance with the SEAL Plan for the project. Maintain accountability for achieving a right first time approach on all deliverables. Ensure personal safety and understand Asset Lifecycle implications of the design, identifying and mitigating hazards/risks and adhering to safe working practices, including legal requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and/or Mines Health and Safety Act within C&I Engineering. Financial / Cost Management
When assigned as Lead C&I Engineer, manage man-hours of C&I Engineering teams and ensure quality work is completed on schedule within the available budget. Assist with the compilation of proposals, including tender clarifications, meetings, write-ups and man-hour estimates. Learning and Development
Responsible for professional development as an engineer. Act as mentor to more junior C&I engineers in line with ECSA requirements. Minimum Qualifications
BSc, BEng or BTech Electrical (Light Current) / Electronic Engineering from a recognised institute. Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with ECSA. Experience
Experience in the Mining, Minerals and Chemicals, Hydrocarbons, Power and Public Infrastructure industries essential, across operations, design and project execution roles. Moving forward together
