$100,000-$130,000

*Dependent upon qualifications. Special preference given to candidates with Microsoft Cloud related experience

Essential Functions:

The Senior Cloud Engineer assists the Managed Services team in solving complex issues within Azure Government Cloud infrastructures that involve using Microsoft's core business applications.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Work with various teams to develop target state cloud architecture, as well as planning for ongoing cloud technology optimization

Respond to critical incidents and resolve issues related to ADFS, SAML, Site-to-Site VPNs, Azure Virtual Desktop, RDS, Certificates, Windows/Linux, and many more technologies

Engineering support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems (Active Directory, Azure Cloud, Office 365, Business Central/Dynamics, etc.)

Architect solutions for customers adhering to security and compliance requirements for CMMC and NIST standards

Execute multiple types of migrations (Exchange, SharePoint, Server, File Share, etc.)

Create processes and procedures around MSP operations and recurring technical problems

Document system configurations and build standards for client environments

Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of project progress, impending changes, and agreed upon outages

Responsible for enhancing customer relations and driving opportunities for new solutions

Continuous education, expansion, and refinement of technical knowledge and credibility through industry standard certifications

Responsible for entering all time and expenses as they occur

Required Job Specifications

7-10 years of experience supporting mission critical infrastructure services at an MSP, or a combination of education and experience

5-10 years of experience managing production Windows environments, with minimum 4 years in Azure

Excellent troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to facilitate the process of gathering requirements and providing alternative cloud infrastructure architecture options

Experience working with Virtual Machines, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Functions, Azure Automation Accounts, App Service, Scale Sets, Azure DevOps, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure Storage, Application Gateway, Azure DNS, Load Balancer

Experience with networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security mechanisms, proxies, firewalls & application delivery controllers

Proficient in creating complex automation scripts in PowerShell

Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience of migrating workloads to Azure

Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
