Overview
East West is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives and drive new customer acquisition in the Medical Technologies sector. This role focuses on defining and executing business strategies to expand market share and deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business plans to accelerate market growth and profitability. Lead efforts to identify and onboard new customers in the Medical and Healthcare markets. Support mergers and acquisitions that align with long-term business objectives. Drive business growth through new customer acquisition in the Medical Sector. Design and implement targeted marketing initiatives to generate demand and enhance brand visibility. Collaborate on persuasive proposals and quoting tools to drive engagement and protect margins. Manage and expand strategic customer accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention. Partner to deliver accurate, competitive pricing and proposals. Lead the development of high-impact presentations, proposals, and RFP responses tailored to customer needs. Oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting to quoting, ensuring consistent execution and follow-through. Foster accountability across teams by delegating effectively and driving results. Build and nurture strong relationships with new customers to support long-term growth. Regularly assess and refine business development and marketing strategies to stay ahead of industry trends. Collaborate with the quoting team to ensure proposals are accurate and aligned with strategic goals. Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
Strong background in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), Contract Manufacturing (CM), or electronics OEM environments. Focus on expanding market share in the Medical Market; remote role with preference for Minneapolis or Texas-based candidates. 10+ years of proven success in EMS, with deep experience selling into Medical OEMs. Demonstrated ability to drive growth, manage complex customer relationships, and deliver high-value solutions. Experience in business development leadership; ability to navigate complex sales cycles and build relationships with technical and executive stakeholders. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quote teams to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive pricing. Provide market guidance on pricing proposals and quotations. Strong background in continuous improvement, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver results under pressure. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Solid financial acumen and understanding of commercial terms and cost models. Travel requirements: 30-50%.
