Job Overview

cFocus Software is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer IV (System Administration / Help Desk / Field Support / Logistics, Inventory, Asset Control) to support the Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The Infrastructure Engineer IV will provide senior-level expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure management, including system administration, help desk operations, field support, and IT asset management.

Responsibilities

Provide senior-level system administration support for enterprise Windows and Linux systems. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise authentication services. Oversee Help Desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of Tier II/III support tickets. Deliver field support services, including software deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and on-site assistance. Administer IT asset management systems for lifecycle tracking, logistics, and inventory control. Support system patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance enforcement. Implement enterprise IT service management practices aligned with ITIL standards. Document SOPs, configuration baselines, and infrastructure procedures. Mentor junior support staff and provide technical leadership to field teams. Participate in 24/7/365 operations and on-call rotations as required. Required Experience

10+ years of IT infrastructure engineering and system administration experience. Expertise in Windows/Linux system administration, patching, and performance monitoring. Proven experience managing Help Desk and field support operations in enterprise environments. Hands-on knowledge of IT asset management and logistics systems. Experience mentoring and leading support teams across geographically distributed sites. Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certifications required. Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent certification preferred. ITIL v4 Foundation certification required for IT service management alignment. Advanced certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are desirable. Clearance Requirement

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (High-Risk, Level 5) clearance.
