Firmware Engineer

Design, implement and test firmware subsystems, in collaboration with the product design team and hardware engineers, utilizing the hardware and embedded software technologies. Follow modern software practices and methodologies, adopt and improve software development infrastructure components for increased development efficiency and quality. Leverage Design for Reliability (DFR) for software, Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability into the product development life cycle. Write technical specifications for their designs as well as for the designs for contract partners to execute. Must have the ability to articulate ideas within cross-functional discussions. Present or assist in the presentation of design improvement ideas, issue resolution, and analysis of technical data. Must use sound engineering principles to identify and resolve system and component-level issues. Collaborate with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms. Take ownership of tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary. Recognizes collaborative behavior and participates in collaborative activities. Embedded, Firmware, C++, Embedded software, Embedded c, Linux, Rtos, Microcontroller, Embedded linux, Software development, C/c++, Embedded system, C programming, Programming, C, Cypress, PSoC, ARM, ARM Based Processors, I2C, SPI, I2S, GPIO, MQTT, HTTP, HTTPS, Real time operating systems Embedded Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field with 5+ years of experience. C and C++ in an embedded environment. Working with processors such as Cypress PSoC, STM32, or other ARM-based processors. I2C, SPI, I2S, GPIO interfacing. Network protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, HTTPS. Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) Intermediate Level The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
