Human Resources Manager Job at Jackson & Associates in Downey

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is bilingual (English/Spanish), well-versed in California compliance, and ready to be a leader in the HR function of our company.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with California employment laws and company practices.
• Lead HR compliance initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters.
• Manage and administer CFRA/FMLA leaves of absence, including tracking, documentation, and employee communication.
• Oversee and coordinate workers’ compensation claims and ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA and state requirements.
• Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
• Maintain accurate employee records, including payroll, benefits, and compliance documentation.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, providing guidance in both English and Spanish.
• Drive training, development, and company culture initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written required) to support employee communications and compliance with HR policies across the workforce.
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws, including CFRA, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and HR compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead HR functions within an organization.
