The Associate Dean will oversee student health, counseling, academic support, accommodations, and student activities, working closely with university leadership to foster student success. Position Description Reporting to the Vice Provost and Dean of Student Affairs, the Associate Dean will lead the Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support Center (OASIS), Student Health Services, Counseling, Accommodations, Student Activities, Student Government, and Student Promotions and Conduct. The role includes developing evaluation metrics to measure program success. Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities The Associate Dean is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating a high-performing team, establishing administrative management practices, overseeing programs and activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role involves strategic planning, developing retention programs, coordinating emergencies, advising student government, organizing student events, and serving on university committees. The Associate Dean also acts as a Title IX investigator, Clery Act Campus Security Authority, and serves as a resource for faculty and staff on behavioral issues. Qualifications Required:
Masters degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or related field; at least five years of experience in student affairs with leadership responsibilities; proven experience in supporting student retention and success. Preferred:
Doctorate in relevant field; experience in strategic planning, budget management, supervising student health and counseling services, investigating Title IX cases, and leading diverse teams. Core Competencies
