Director of Operations - Mechanical Construction

Position Overview
A top mechanical contractor in the Northeast is looking to bring on a  Director of Operations for Mechanical Construction will oversee and manage the operational aspects of mechanical construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Director will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies for mechanical construction projects
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet deadlines
• Manage budgets and financial forecasts for ongoing projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all project phases
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical construction operations
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers and engineers to enhance performance and professional growth
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical construction processes
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions
• Familiarity with project management software and tools
