Requirements For IT Tech Support
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical approach.
- Willingness and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, Zendesk, Jira).
- Professional and patient demeanor when dealing with non-technical users.
- Understanding of IT security practices and data privacy principles.
- Exposure to Active Directory and Office 365 administration a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.

- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets related to technical issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and configure new user workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions using tools like Active Directory and Office 365.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 support or System Administrators.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Assist with IT projects including system upgrades, patch management, and deployments.
- Participate in ongoing training aimed at career development into a system administration role.
