Ridge Roofing is looking to grow their team! This is a versatile position for a Project Manager within a dynamic and hardworking team that provides excellent quality roofing services to several areas in Western North Carolina, including Asheville, Waynesville, Weaverville, Hendersonville, etc. The Project Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager of Ridge Roofing. The Project Manager is part of an infield team ensuring that the support and services we provide are timely and of the best quality. The Project Manager works in the field on a daily basis to coordinate roofing activities. Specific project responsibilities are coupled with day-to-day business oversight in a complex and often chaotic environment.
Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Engages and guides roofing crews to be an effective work team.
- Adhere to company safety standards and promote safety culture in work.
- Maintains strict quality control standards.
- Communicate with customers to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.
- Provides on-site technical support to crew members.
- Provides logistical support as needed for base and/ or project issues.
- Monitor materials and tools to ensure that the crew can complete the project on time.
- Monitors work progress and advises on improvements or corrections where needed.
- Report project progress to customers and Ridge Roofing management team.
- Ensure all changes to job scope are documented and communication.
Project Manager Qualifications
- 2-3 years roofing and/or construction experience is preferred.
- Good mathematical, reading and time management abilities.
- Strong business and communication skill.
- Ability to problem solve in stressful situations.
- Good leadership and self-motivation skills.
- Positive professional attitude is a must.
Project Manager Work Conditions
- Typical work week will be from Monday to Friday, from 7:30-5:30, depending on weather and project scheduling. Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy to very heavy objects, such as lumber, packs of shingles, ladders, etc.
- Climbing ladders and working at heights will be necessary on most projects.
- Travel, at times extensive, will be required between projects.
