Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a contract with a client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Hadoop Cloudera and SRE to effectively manage distributed data systems and ensure site reliability.
Rate Range: $55/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager job responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for big data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Manage and optimize Hadoop Cloudera clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to maintain system reliability, automate operations, and reduce downtime.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and system health, using metrics and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in project management.
- Proven hands-on expertise in managing Hadoop Cloudera environments.
- Strong proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
