Ray Mart is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to join our corporate team in Temple, Texas. We are a growing management company that has been in business since 1958. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a stable, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess a solid background in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain accuracy in financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to support accounting functions and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze financial data and prepare ad hoc reports as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
