The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing monthly financial close, cost accounting, fixed asset management, AP, AR and Payroll oversight and account reconciliation. This candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing accounting practices and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing monthly financial close, cost accounting, fixed asset management, AP, AR and Payroll oversight and account reconciliation. This candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing accounting practices and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Financial Closing & Reporting
Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

Account Reconciliation & Analysis
Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis

Cost Accounting
Maintain and analyze standard cost systems, including BOMs and routings
Monitor and report on manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and margin analysis
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocation

Fixed Asset Accounting & System Maintenance
Manage fixed asset ledger, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of capital expenditures
Maintain fixed asset system integrity and support physical audits

Requirements:

Education - Bachelors degree in accounting (required)
Experience - Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.Strong understanding of AR, AP & Payroll
Technical Skills - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Plex or similar), advanced Excel skills
Soft Skills - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, leadership ability, and effective communication

Hours and Salary:

• 1st shift - Normal Business Hours
• Pay range $30-$45 per hour, depending on experience
