$72,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Summary:

Our maintenance & logistics client is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing accounting tasks and working with multiple lines of business including handling journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with monthly close duties. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and support ongoing financial accuracy across various departments or entities.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams or external partners to manage invoice intake, review, and processing.
• Validate general ledger coding for transactions and verify accuracy of supporting documentation.
• Assist in researching and resolving discrepancies related to vendor accounts and invoices.
• Partner with billing or receivables teams to coordinate customer invoicing and apply incoming payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collection efforts as needed.
• Prepare and document accruals for billing, expenses, or other required estimates during closing cycles.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to general ledger balances.
• Maintain financial schedules and prepare standard or ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders.
• Provide audit support by compiling necessary documentation and assisting with audit inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in a multi-entity or shared services accounting environment preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) and other spreadsheet tools.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Acumatica, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard accounting practices.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary range is $72K - $80K depending upon experience.
