Seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join a growing finance team in a newly created role. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build upon your accounting skills while working closely with the Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for journal entries and financial reports.
- Support the Senior Accountant with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and posting of transactions.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the accounting function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- 1-2 years of general accounting experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
