Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for retail devices and peripherals, including cash register displays, drawers, keyboards, debit pin pads, barcode hand scanners, integrated payment terminals, scanners, POS controllers, coin dispensers, price verifiers, thermal printers (Zebra/Epson), and iOS devices and peripherals.
- Perform Smart Hands tasks such as rack & stack, cable management, routers, firewalls, upgrades & replacements, VM infrastructure, WAP, SD-WAN, AVDE, and RFID as needed.
- Conduct device health checks, including regular maintenance, cleaning, and inventory management; address pending incidents and tasks.
- Provide AVDE responsibilities such as routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and in-store display repairs (including LCD/Plasma monitors and audio on hold).
- Troubleshoot POS systems and peripherals (registers, scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers).
- Set up peripherals such as barcode scanners, label printers, and signature pads.
- Perform store opening/closing IT tasks to ensure systems are up at opening and properly shut down or backed up at closing.
- Maintain kiosk/self-checkout systems, including rebooting, part replacements, and fault reporting.
- Support inventory devices, including handheld scanners and tablets used for stock checks.
- Provide first-level diagnosis for Wi-Fi connectivity issues for store devices.
- Ensure local printers used for receipts, reports, or labels function correctly.
