The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on tractor-trailers and other heavy equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.

*Responsibilities* * Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including performing routine maintenance and inspections. * Conduct equipment repairs on various types of machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. * Service and align hydraulic systems to maintain functionality in equipment operations. * Perform tire service including mounting, balancing, and rotating tires as needed. * Work on tractor-trailer units to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency. * Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues and transmit findings to the appropriate personnel. * Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles. * Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. * Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment or parts as necessary.

*Qualifications* * Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong understanding of heavy-duty vehicle systems. * Familiarity with hydraulics and the ability to perform necessary repairs on hydraulic systems. * Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not required. * Ability to align various components of vehicles accurately for optimal performance. * Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing mechanical issues. * Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. * Valid driver’s license; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $32.60 per hour

Schedule: * 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
