The Business Analyst III is responsible for conducting research, analysis, and problem-solving to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
This role develops recommendations, drives process improvements, and supports decision-making through reporting and data analysis.
The analyst partners with cross-functional teams, provides consultation to stakeholders, and ensures alignment with organizational goals.
Additionally, this role supports the Colo Program by managing asset data, facilitating leadership discussions, and acting as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of complex business data and problems to develop recommendations and solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and design effective processes and procedures that meet business requirements.
- Provide reporting and data analysis to support execution of solutions and decision-making.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and management to address issues and consult on improvements.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve business or system-related challenges.
- Perform advanced analysis of major business issues, recommending sustainable solutions using established tools and methodologies.
- Assess current capabilities, anticipate customer needs, and recommend business process improvements and sustainable solutions.
- Compile and analyze detailed statistics and data to support business operations.
- Provide guidance in process mapping, business alignment, and evaluation of root causes.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and present findings to senior management in written and verbal formats.
- Develop, design, and update new and existing business processes of critical importance.
- Contribute as a key participant in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Responsibilities specific to the Colo Program:
- Collect and analyze asset data, prepare reporting, and provide recommendations to ensure customer asset inventory aligns with strategic business and IT direction.
- Engage with leadership across the S&R organization to facilitate prioritization and strategic decision-making.
- Communicate with IT leadership regarding planning, blockers, and issue resolution.
- Act as a liaison between high-priority strategic customer programs and System IT.
- Partner with System IT Finance to ensure understanding and appropriate application of IT charges.
- Support change management for transformational enterprise platforms aligned with strategic direction.
- Facilitate application of Scrum and Agile principles within the team’s work.
- Manage the BDG records management program.
- Apply risk management discipline in decision-making, contributing to organizational risk management practices.
- Strong experience conducting data-driven analysis and developing business recommendations.
- Proven ability to identify and design business processes and improvements.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project for managing complex, multi-phase project schedules, dependencies, and KPI tracking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, formulas, macros, and automated reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard design, data modeling, DAX calculations, and custom measures for executive decision-making.
- Experience leading process improvement and solution discussions with senior management.
- Strong risk management awareness and decision-making within established standards.
- Experience with infrastructure project management or supporting large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
- Familiarity with change management and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
