Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be a member of the Decision Support Services Team at FPG. The BSA acts as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, define, and document requirements for solving business challenges using technology. Responsibilities include working with business stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements, producing software requirement specifications, and developing various models and documents such as Business Process and Data Flow Models, BRDs, traceability matrices, and User Stories with Acceptance Criteria. The BSA conducts testing, provides analytics support, and validates technical deliverables. They develop training documentation and user guides, explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and apply industry trends to improve services. The BSA must achieve in-depth knowledge of relevant software applications and understand policies, procedures, and constraints.
Business Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather requirements, write, clarify, and interpret specifications for applications managing portals, data tools, extensions, and integrations within the enterprise architecture.
- Oversee the cohesion of platforms and technologies within the business intelligence stack, establishing best practices for reporting across environments.
- Work with team members and cross-functional partners, leveraging machine learning, NLP, graph algorithms, and Big Data technologies.
- Manage processes for developing semantic layers, metadata, and reusable constructs for analytics.
- Engage with stakeholders, identify risks, and collaborate to develop specifications.
- Create technical workflows and use cases in enterprise IT environments.
- Ensure successful adoption of BI tools through training and support.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and align BI architecture with business needs.
- Follow process and requirements gathering methodologies.
- Collaborate with application development teams to define business processes and system requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis on various topics supporting business operations.
- Work with organizational teams to understand operational needs.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external customers to analyze needs and requirements.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and business performance.
- Assist with data mapping, testing, QA, and produce necessary documentation and definitions.
- Identify information requirements to enhance business processes and support strategies.
- Maintain systems critical to business needs and address technical debt.
- Generate ad hoc reports using BI tools like SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, Python, R, etc.
Shift: Day shift, 8-hour workday (08:00 - 17:00).
