Job Summary
The
Business Analyst
will support the
MiARC Project
within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), serving as a key liaison between business partners and technical development teams. This role will focus on gathering requirements, facilitating Agile ceremonies, writing user stories, and delivering essential project documentation aligned with government standards and financial system protocols. Key Responsibilities
Gather and validate
business requirements
through user interviews, gap analysis, SWOT assessments, and business process evaluations. Produce documentation including
wireframes, context diagrams, business process models, and traceability matrices . Write user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile teams. Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies:
Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives . Manage and track work using
Azure DevOps , including backlog and sprint boards. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to integrate
IT solutions
that meet operational needs. Support
testing phases
by writing test plans and use cases. Align deliverables with SEM and PMM frameworks.
Required Experience
8+ years gathering and documenting business requirements. 6+ years designing technical documentation, including diagrams and models. 5+ years creating user stories and acceptance criteria. 4+ years in Agile/SCRUM environments. 4+ years on financial systems. 3+ years using
Azure DevOps
for backlog and sprint management. Experience writing test plans and use cases. Knowledge of
SEM ,
PMM , and
SADLC
processes.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Prior work with State or Federal government entities. Familiarity with Michigan-specific systems or processes.
