We provides an impartial forum for resolving disputes between private citizens, organizations, and state agencies. Our mission is to ensure uniform, impartial adjudication of cases through its case management systems, which support both the Adjudication of Disputes program (ALJ) and the Judges of Compensation Claims program (JCC). These systems integrate web-based applications for electronic filing, document indexing, and real-time access to case information, serving over 26,000 registered users statewide.

Position Overview

The Data Analyst – Case Management Position will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our internal case management applications and related systems. These applications are built primarily in VB.Net and .NET (C#) and supported by SQL Server databases. The analyst will ensure system functionality, data integrity, and operational efficiency while contributing to the ongoing improvement of our mission-critical platforms.

This role requires both technical expertise and strong analytical skills to translate business needs into functional requirements and system solutions. The selected candidate will also collaborate closely with agency staff, leadership, and contractors to support system enhancements, reporting, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of a Program Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop, maintain, support, and enhance case management and business applications in line with our standards.

  • Provide .NET software application support, including designing, coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications.

  • Support MS SQL databases, including data modeling, coding, implementation, optimization, and maintenance.

  • Write and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and views to support reporting and business processes.

  • Conduct requirements gathering with program staff to define system needs and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Perform analysis to identify operational efficiencies and recommend system improvements.

  • Produce work estimates for implementing user-defined requirements and system changes.

  • Test and validate system changes to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in partnership with business program staff.

  • Manage configuration and code promotion processes using TFS or equivalent tools.

  • Participate in change management best practices, ensuring reliable and secure system deployments.

  • Support integration of in-house business applications (e.g., Accounting, JCCa) with our case management systems.

  • Ensure continuous system availability for users, supporting real-time data access across replicated environments.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:

  • Intermediate Level (B): Minimum 5 years’ experience in:

    • .NET development with C#

    • Enterprise-level software application support

    • SQL Server (2008 R2 or higher) development and support

    • Systems analysis, requirements gathering, and business process improvement

    • Code configuration and promotion (TFS or similar)

  • Advanced Level (C): Minimum 7 years’ experience in the areas listed above.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in .NET (VB.Net and C#) application development

  • Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, including design, programming, and performance tuning

  • Experience with enterprise code management, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools

  • Knowledge of change management and best practices for software promotion

  • Ability to design and maintain system reports, dashboards, and statistical outputs

Additional Information

  • On-site presence required in Tallahassee, FL

  • Must be available for initial on-site setup and regular in-person meetings.

  • Preference will be given to local or regional candidates.

  • Candidate must complete pre-screening reference checks (3 references required).
