Your Role as a Teacher

As a teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our curriculum and ensuring the success of our students. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to continuous improvement and collaboration within their school community.

Qualifications:

  • While a background in education is not required for new teachers, a passion for working with K-12 students and experience in schools or urban communities is preferred.
Additional Qualifications for Experienced Teachers:
  • A proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting is preferred.
  • Valid State Certification and a Master’s degree are beneficial but not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university before employment begins.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher by the time employment begins.

Compensation:

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700. Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant teaching experience and education certifications. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
