Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. You will develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, diagnose and repair mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, assist in equipment installation, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. You will also navigate and improve CMMS processes and collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Navigate, maintain, and improve CMMS processes.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct work according to lean manufacturing principles, alone or in a group setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and schematic systems.
  • Ability to repair gearboxes, pumps, motors, and bearings.
  • Experience with chain-driven conveyors.
  • Electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with safety precautions in an industrial setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to repair gearboxes, bearings, and chain-driven conveyors.
  • Experience with low voltage systems (24v).

Work Environment:

The role is set within an automotive manufacturing environment where tools are provided. Employees must undergo a yearly fit test and maintain a clean-shaven appearance. The shift schedule is from 6:30pm to 7:00am, with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 4 days off, followed by 4 days on, 4 days off. A night shift differential is provided once officially moved to schedule.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.

1st month: $30; 2nd month: $40; 3rd month and after $50 every month for perfect attendance
