Position Overview
We are seeking an Expert-Level Technical Specialist with deep experience (link removed) technologies to support the North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT The selected candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications while ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to be available to report onsite inRaleigh, NC within one hour when needed. Only candidates currently residing in North Carolina will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
Create and maintain RESTful APIs and services using ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Web API 2.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize Windows Server and IIS-based environments.
Support deployment pipelines with DevOps best practices and version control viaGIT.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following design patterns and system architecture standards.
Provide technical mentorship and client-facing support when needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas:
.NET Framework 4.6 / .NET Core
ASP.NET (C
WebForms, MVC, Web API 2
WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
RESTful API development
DB2 and SQL Server
Strong T-SQL, stored procedures, and database design
Windows Server & IIS
Configuration and troubleshooting
DevOps & GIT
Version control and CI/CD pipeline familiarity
Advanced system architecture and design pattern knowledge
Strong ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with state or public sector agencies
Proven client-facing experience and mentoring capabilities
Exposure to government project methodologies and compliance standards
