Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the day-to-day functions of our Human Resources department. This role is responsible for assisting with a broad range of HR duties including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and onboarding. The HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring HR policies and practices are aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Ensure all pre-employment documentation and background checks are completed.
- Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Support resolution of employee concerns and conflict management in partnership with leadership.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
- Compliance & HR Administration
- Maintain employee records and HRIS systems in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
- Support internal audits and ensure up-to-date compliance documentation.
- Benefits & Leave Administration
- Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment processes, and employee education.
- Track and manage employee leaves of absence (FMLA, military, medical, etc.).
- Liaise with benefit vendors and troubleshoot employee concerns.
- Performance & Development
- Support performance review processes, training initiatives, and employee development plans.
- Assist in implementing HR programs that improve retention, morale, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in a generalist or HR support role.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, BambooHR).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience supporting multi-state or industry-specific HR functions.
Working Conditions

Compensation
- $65,000 - $75,000
