About the Team The Global Legal team provides legal advice and guidance to OKX and its affiliated entities across all coverage areas and locations, supporting business growth by collaborating with all teams. OKX is based in San Jose, California, with customers worldwide and offices in the United States (San Jose, San Francisco, and New York), Europe, Asia, and Australia. Our team includes attorneys around the world handling legal matters in hundreds of countries.
About the Opportunity As an Associate General Counsel in the Marketing Practice Group, you will report to the Head of the practice group and work closely with the Global Legal team and business leaders. You will be based in either San Francisco or San Jose, in the office three days a week, with the option to work remotely two days a week.
The right candidate will have a basic understanding of and enthusiasm for the cryptocurrency/digital asset space, relevant litigation and regulatory experience at a top law firm or in-house at a fast-paced brand-name business, and strong academic credentials with excellent writing and analytical skills. Ideal candidates will have experience working on matters in financial services, cryptocurrency/digital assets, financial services regulation, and securities laws.

What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the business in a wide range of legal coverage areas, including marketing and advertising, product promotion and development, global regulatory matters, token listings, and contract negotiation.
Collaborating with a global team of attorneys supporting the Company's global growth, local markets, and marketing and advertising departments.
Managing outside counsel and interpreting legal advice to align with the firm’s business development plans and risk appetite.
Assisting the team’s litigation and regulatory practice group on global regulatory matters and inquiries as needed.
Collaborating with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide projects and goals.
Managing legal requests from all areas of the business and advising on legal concepts and risk with a view toward strategic goals of business leaders.
What We Look For In You
Active membership with a state bar (CA preferred) or eligible to practice in California as registered in-house counsel.
Residence in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Litigation and regulatory experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team, preferably in financial services or crypto.
Experience advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology legal issues (or strong interest and knowledge) with a basic understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory landscape.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage, multi-cultural environment.
Ability to effectively advise and build trust with business teams.
Ability to navigate a rapidly changing legal landscape and deal with ambiguity.
Ability to work in a high-functioning legal team and thrive in a collaborative environment.

The salary range for this position is $127,000 - $190,000.
The salary offered depends on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
