Leasing Representative
that will be responsible for leasing regional centers, open air centers, street retail and neighborhood centers on an assigned property basis. This position is a great entry-level learning opportunity for people looking to jump start a career in commercial real estate. The ideal person will have a strong drive to learn and shadow other Leasing Representatives in order to be immersed in our business. We are looking for business-minded, entrepreneurial individuals. Key Responsibilities: Primary leasing responsibility for assigned properties. Aggressively and proactively looks for new tenants to fill vacant spaces by cold calling, warm calling, eblasts, mailings, and in person canvassing. Negotiates lease terms that meet or exceed budgets and that address items including, but not limited to rent, term, extra charges, co-tenancy, and construction allowances. Keeps immediate supervisor apprised as to all activities. Communicates and coordinates with Legal Department to have documents prepared incorporating the terms agreed upon and appropriate to the specific property. Identify new concepts and pursue service and non-retail users. Marketing- Develop, update and distribute leasing marketing material. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the retail industry included but not limited to trends, new tenants coming to the market and market rents. Have excellent presentation skills and be able to present deals to management with necessary financial sophistication. Strong networking skills in multiple real estate sectors. Attends leasing conventions and other industry events. Travel to assigned properties will be require per management's discretion. Requirements 0-3 years retail or commercial (non-residential) leasing experience with increasing responsibility. Bachelors degree in a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and handle many moving pieces at once. Self-starter with a desire to close deals.
