Founding Fullstack Engineer – Early-Stage Data Infrastructure Startup (Chicago, In-Person)
We’re working with a founder-led, seed-stage startup on a mission to fix the chaos of fragmented systems and disconnected data in the mid-market. Their platform uses AI to pull data from different sources, clean it up, and make it usable for analytics, automation, and the new wave of AI-native workflows.
They already have paying customers and a track record of building and scaling successful companies. Now they’re hiring a Founding Fullstack Engineer to join the team in Chicago and help set the pace from day one.
What you’ll be doing Building across the stack – React on the frontend, and Node, Scala, or similar on the backend
Standing up core infrastructure and shipping production-ready code quickly
Working on AI/LLM features, from research through to real customer use cases
Working closely with the founders and early customers to design, build, and iterate fast
Having a say in architecture, tooling, and how the engineering team is built
Deploying multiple times a day in a fast-moving, hands-on environment
What they’re looking for 3+ years of fullstack experience, ideally in fast-moving environments or startups
Solid instincts around architecture, performance, and scalability
Comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership of problems end-to-end
Based in (or open to relocating to) Chicago – they believe in the speed and energy of in-person collaboration
